Know your Zone.

Know your Zone.

Lower intensity exercise is great for a variety of reasons but, if your goal is to lose fat, incorporating some higher intensity workouts (particularly interval training) will get you closer to your goal.

Determining your upper threshold for cardiovascular exercise requires no more than a treadmill, a good heart rate monitor, knowledge of Borg’s Rate of Perceived Exertion scale and 20 minutes to workout.

It will totally take the guess work out of your cardio training since you will know the optimal heart rate zone in which you should train to best achieve your goal – whether it be fat loss (leaning out) or cardiovascular (CV) endurance.

I can administer the test if you want.
